Have you ever read a book that really stuck with you, and that you still think about? I read How High We Go In The Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu, which is this collection of short stories that are all kind of connected about a plague and its impacts on the world, and it has really stuck with me. It is profoundly sad, and fucked up, and so incredibly human and beautiful. I think about some of those stories all the time, and if you want to read something intense and poignant and enduring, I can't recommend it enough!
I really like pickles. I was really hoping to make some homemade pickles last year, but my cucumber crop wasn't as robust as I had hoped, and they mostly ended up in salads. But this year, I'm gonna do my best to nurture my cucumber plants and we'll see what we can do!

Do you guys like Pokemon? The first two generations of Pokemon games are some of my favorite games EVER!! I've played hundreds of hours of Pokemon Crystal, and I think it holds up super well today. I kind of fell off the Pokemon wagon after that second generation until Pokemon Go came out, and I enjoyed the shit out of that when it came out too. There was this group of nerds in my neighborhood that would meet up and go raiding all the time lol. It was quite the sight to see like 20 nerds wandering around staring at their phones, but I think it was actually so cool that a game brought so many people together

Sushi is wild. Like, all of the ingredients are from Japan (except for rice surprisingly, but rice has been grown there for a million years, so close enough), so it's not that strange that these ingredients are combined into a dish. But the thought to combine the ingredients the way that you do - fish, wrapped in seaweed, wrapped in rice, and rolled, is absolutely insane. I love Japanese cuisine because it epitomizes taking whatever you have on hand and doing the absolute most with it, and honoring those ingredients. Like, think of all the things the Japanese do with soy beans. What a time to be alive
Can you tell that I'm craving sushi so, so badly? 😅

You know how we were talking about guessing what people look like naked? (lol what a sentence! I love y'all and I love that we can talk about silly stuff) Isn't it so fun when you finally get to see someone naked, and you get to be like "Aha! That's what that looks like!" I spend a lot of time posting on reddit, and inadvertently looking at naked ladies, and boy is it interesting all of the different ways that a body can be. tbh, that's my favorite thing about humans. I adore how different a vulva or a penis, or any body part, can be and I especially like how the internet gives us access to all of these unique bodies. I feel like it was so much easier to be self-conscious when the only people you saw naked in media were porn stars - aside from being an unrealistic representation of what a body is, they all look the same!! Obviously, people will always have body issues, but I think it's wonderful that you can go on the internet and see just about every kind of body there is, represented in some way.

Do you ever play the game when you see or meet someone where you wonder what they look like naked? More in the sense of curiosity than arousal or attraction, but it's not like those things are mutually exclusive. Like, maybe it's just cause I have a bush, but I'm always trying to guess if other women are hairy. I feel like hair on women is starting to come back a little bit, but I feel like the vast majority of women either go bare or have a little bit of very manicured hair. Other common curiosities of Lilly: nipple color, labia size/orientation, penis size, and hidden tattoos/piercings. Please tell me I'm not the only one!!! 😅

I'm pretty sure I dreamed about Malcolm in the Middle last night, which is kind of weird, but having thought about Malcolm in the Middle all morning, I feel like that show has aged super well. I watched it for the first time in a long time last year, and I feel like the acting and writing holds up. Hal is obviously incredible, but all of the kids are great too, and maybe it's just nostalgia, but I really think it's a solid show. I'm quite interested to see how they do the reboot, and if it's any good.
